YOU'RE SOOOOO YESTERDAY!
=)
Oh god..
I feel enlightened.
Haha.
Sigh.
It's really a counting down.
=(
Oh well,
I had a reality check recently.
We, youngsters nowadays, thinks that we're big and all.
Branded stuff.
Fred Perry, Lacoste, Miss Selfridge etc etc.
Guess what.
MOM AND DAD HAD IT ALL!
I was so mind fucked when I realised it.
Dad had a collection of (a fucking huge one) Fred Perry, Lacoste and Ashworth polos,
3 SAMSONITE BRIEFCASES! and more but I can't remember what now.
Okay, the fate of those extremely branded goods after prolly 20-30 years.
The polos are now cut out clothes mom kinda used to wipe tables and dusts (they are really wash out and stuff so it's not that bad).
The briefcases are (HAHA) mine now. When I was young (and naive), I used them to store my junks and all. They're my props.
He used to golf.
Heard he's gonna go back to golfing.
Mom's turn.
Branded perfumes and make ups ranging from Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Lancome, Dior (At that point of time, they were still called Christian Dior - they just renamed few years back) to Miss Selfridge and other younger brands.
Her accessories (Yes yes, those earrings I stole) costs roughly like FUCKING RM50-150 per pair?!?!?!?!
I mean SERIOUSLY. FUCK MAN!!!
That was like what, 20 years ago.
HOW BLOODY HELL MUCH WAS RM150?!?!
I'm talking about the era when RM and SGD are at 1:1 rates.
When RM50 meant SGD50 still!
And the other day,
MOM GAVE ME A LECTURE ON NOT BUYING BRANDED STUFF.
PTF!!!!
God!
On a side note,
dad is always talking about his olden day brands.
Those that none of us have probably heard off.
I knock it off regarding it as some uncle brand (like goldlion LOL),
but yes.
I admit defeat.
I SALUTE MY PARENTS FOR THEIR TASTE IN FASHION.
HANDS DOWN!
They were wearing aviators and leggings before us for god sake!
Go google Charles Jourdan.
FUCK! Their leather shoes in the 60s are DAMN awesome.
I take back my EVERY SINGLE word about uncle brand.
I should have brought a few pics of them being young and trendy. LOL!
It was so retro and awesome it's IN TREND!
Talk about fashion being a cycle.
A good note for me,
dad gave me his new aviators (YES MY DAD WEARS AVIATORS AND AMAZINGLY HE LOOK FINE IN THEM. HOW FREAKING WEIRD)!!!!!
It's not a CJ but it still costs bombs. =DDDDDDDD
Bro got me Armani Code.
Well,
for an old man who insist in searching for Arrow brand shirts and CJ sunglasses,
I might not like your mentality sometimes,
but I've never really doubted your fashion taste.
P/s: My dad helped pick my current Charles and Keith handbag for me. SEE!
And if you must know, my dad's so weird he wears long sleeve SHIRT and PANTS with BELT AT HOME! Morning till night. With perfect gelled hair that won't move when wind blows.
After 20 years living, aside from going to sleep, I've never seen him in T-shirt and shorts/berms. -______-''' I think he should go Ripley's believe it or not.
Okay, enough about clothes.
Food back there was AWESOME.
I can't even find the exact words to express it.
I just keep EATING AND EATING AND EATING!
I hope they can import some beansprout here.
LOL!!!!!
