According to Yahoo News, 8 of the Must-try Malaysian dishes are:

Ipoh Hor Fun
Nasi Lemak
Out of the 8, 4 dishes originated from Perak (the state) and 2 originated from Ipoh (the city).
How awesome Ipoh's food is? Think for yourself.
Now about the 8 dishes. I beg to differ.
First and foremost, CHICKEN RICE is WRONG. Lou Wong Restaurant is indeed famous for their chicken. I dare to swear once you tried it, you'll fall in love with it. This is refer to only white/steam chicken. Roasted wise I have no idea because no one in their right mind goes there to eat roasted ones. The chicken are so smooth you feel like it just slip through your throat. For those who love the beansprout, ask any chefs. The beansprout in Ipoh is unlike any other beansprout that's skinny, thin and NOT crunchy at all. The ones in Ipoh is juicy, fat, short and super crunchy. Don't ask me why. Once PMC chef told me it's because of the water. Believe it or not. Yes, that is a DIE DIE MUST TRY dish in Ipoh. Well, BUT! Problem is, people eat HOR FUN with the chicken. DEFINITELY not RICE.
P/s just got to know from cousin they serve rice too because KL people prefer rice, but hey. That's not auhentically local anymore =)
Which leads to the next problem. Ipoh Hor Fun. Finally I know what that refers to. It's a total opp of what you can find in Sg (which are the ones in dark sauce with chicken and mushroom). Ipoh Hor Fun (for god sake, it's called Kai Si Hor Fun - Shredded Chicken Hor Fun in Ipoh), are soup based hor fun served with beansprout and chicken inside. Basically it's what you can find from the restaurant mentioned above in a bowl.
Penang Laksa, that I MOST certainly agree. Come on, I go over Johor just to eat that. That's my FAVOURITE dish and often my lunch back there. The original ones are served with a type of noodle, the chewy slippery ones in a broth made of either tuna or sardine (I forgot), pineapple etc.. It's AWESOME I swear.
Well, that's my take on this issue. I still can't believe they said chicken RICE in Yahoo News.

Well, about my awesome day yesterday!
It was HAHAHAHA!
That's my expression.
It started crazily and ended with a BANG.
Dinner with the girls are forever love.
We went to Suki Sushi (as usual) and ordered:
3 Mussel Mentai
1 Soft Shelled Crab
1 Salmon Sashimi
Sushis
Food was awesome!

The highlight: Em laughed till she teared and really having tears rolling down!
OMG I LOVE YOU GIRLS SOOOOO MUCH!
Then me and Ella head to the Mango Fashion Guerrila thing.
It was tad boring.
We had a drink, saw the premier and decided to head to Supper Club.
We were like super late,
somehow managed to get in through guestlist and RAWRS!
HAHAHA!
OMG!
We totally proved how DESPO guys can be and LOL!
Wicked us, we drove them crazy.
There was this super despo guy and he kept asking and asking and asking.
LOL!
