Singapore F1 Grand Prix is finally here.
Day 1 (26th)
Woke up quite early to go White Sands.
Waited for Tom&Stephanie to open.
I wanna get a clutch!
After half an hour waiting, found out there is no more black.
=( I had to compromise and buy the white one.
Proves how desperate I am.
Was qite disappointed actually.
The day didn't start well.
Should have bought it when I have the chance.
ARGH!
Went to work, realised that the Suntec way to Esplanade was closed.
I had towalk an extra 25 minutes and it was tiring.
Feet pain before I even start working.
Thank God I went home to change back to SSM ugly shoes.
If I wore my pumps, I would have been dead.
We gather, sign in using time card and together we walk to Paddock Club.
FAR I tell you.
VERY VERY FAR from the gates.
Anyway, found out what we had to do.
Serve drinks on a tray like cocktail parties.
Guess who we saw on the first day?
Denise Keller, Tay Ping Hui, Michelle Chia and Shaun Chen.
Seeing how tall they are made me feel freaking disgusted by my height.
Anyway, took picture with Michelle Chia.
I swear I didn't mean to at first.
I only "chap chi kah".
The day ended with my feet screaming and shouting for help.
And my bosses are nice people.
At least they treat us good.
=) Tung Lok is not that bad.
Saw A LOT of pretty girls
In pretty clothes.
It's so eye soothing.
Ahh~~
Seeing so many couple there,
all holding hands,
made me miss you even more.
You're on my mind all the time.
How I wish you can be there with me.
I miss you.
After I reach home, I collapsed.
Day 2 (27th)
To think of going to work,
with my legs and feet still pain,
have to walk so far to reach the place,
really made me weak and lazy.
My poor feet.
The only thing I can do is just looking at the flowers, smell it and think of you.
At least that gives me energy.
Okay, reached work.
All the other three HTM girls disappeared.
What a shame.
I swear SSM skills are applied.
Thanks Mr. Goh!
I see the difference.
Arms and legs are giving up on me.
Made some NYP and SP friends.
We saw Ros and some other DJs today.
Met some French guests.
They speak French to me.
I replied a little.
Haha... amazingly, they get what I'm saying.
But I am clueless about what they're trying to say.
The F1 car sound "VROOOM" past isn't helping at all.
Some Hong Kong peple are even funnier.
They talk until blur blur already.
Ask me things in Cantonese.
When I replied back in Cantonese,
they were shocked.
LOL! wth.
Some guests are from Bangkok too.
*winks to dear mou if you're reading*
My bosses are funny too.
They say I should go into Public Relations.
I make guests laugh and leave happily.
HAHA!
That's a good thing I guess.
We cope-ed Prata and Teh Tarik during dinner time.
Had gossip session.
It was nice because my legs are REALLY painful.
I gave two of my bosses nicknames.
One called coupon, another called Ah Beng.
And I cab-ed back home today with one my boss.
His legs gave up on him too and he stays few blocks away.
Lucky me.
Anyway, I realised how satifying it is when guests thank you by the name.
Not just, "Thank you."
but, "Thank you, Kelly."
It makes a different.
One guests even said, "That's good service" after he thank me.
Now we are talking about SERVICE!
I'm serious.
Whatever learnt in TP can definately be applied.
Especially in the Paddock area.
And we took group picture and a lot of other pictures today.
Happy.
Day 3 (28th)
It's the last day!
Coupon gave each of us the picture we took and he laminated it.
AHH~ See how good my boss is.
It's the last day and we all did our very best.
Nothing big or special happen except I ha a 3 hours bartender experience.
Other things remained the same.
Same guests, or more.
Tired legs and arms.
Slacking in the toilet for 2 minutes or more.
Taking Prata for dinner.
I learnt to pour and open champaigne bottle.
Using the hold bottom method.
So fun.
The race was over before we know it.
We walked to City Hall MRT.
We see lolipops with Johnny Walker logo on it.
Know why?
KEEP WALKING!!!
I was so tired by then.
And we were walking on rocky road.
I will never drink Johnny Walker ever again.
How I wish there were Johnny Shuttle Bus or Johnny Sit-A-While.
Sighz...
After we reach City Hall, Rebecca was hungry.
We stopped at 7eleven for a break.
No strength anymore.
It was unglam to the max.
Reached home around 12am plus I guess.
And that was how F1 ended.
I was really sad when we were told to give back the name tags.
Nothing memorable left.
Except for the group picture and LOTS of ear plugs.
HAHA!
Have a good rest, my dear legs.
